About Us
Tiny Bangs started with one of those ideas you blurt out half-jokingly and then can’t stop thinking about.
I was sitting in my car after work, stuck in traffic again, drumming on the steering wheel like I always do. It’s a habit I’ve had for as long as I can remember — tapping along to music, hitting the air drums during solos, keeping my hands busy. But for some reason, this time I thought, “What if I had a real cymbal in here?”
It wasn’t some big eureka moment. It was a passing thought that made me laugh — but it didn’t go away.
Over the next few months, I kept coming back to it. Eventually, I ordered a few small cymbals, messed around with mounts, and built something that actually worked. It was rough, but it made a real sound, and it looked hilarious. I stuck it on my vent and gave it a name: Tiny Bangs.
I never intended to start a business. But every time someone got in my car, they’d ask about it. Then they’d hit it. Then they’d want one.
So I got to work. I spent late nights testing different materials, building prototypes, and figuring out how to make something that was small, functional, and actually fun to use. I got a lot of help from friends and family. We ran into plenty of setbacks — it was harder than I expected to make a product this weird feel this solid — but we got there.
Now, Tiny Bangs is a real thing. We’ve shipped thousands of them across the country, and seeing people enjoy something that started as a strange little idea in my car has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life.
We’re a small, family-run business. We make every cymbal ourselves, source quality parts, and do our best to keep things personal. No big team. No investors. Just a simple mission: make people smile in traffic.
Thanks for checking us out and for supporting something a little unusual. We hope it makes your drive a little more fun.
